enthusiasts with a slew of races scheduled for tomorrow at the Vesey Street track (1 p.m. start).

Making an eagerly awaited return will be defending champion, top point pacer J.B.'s T.W. Bell, with Fernando Rego holding the reins in the 1:14-16/4 time bar.

Hoping to make it a less than triumphant one though are Misty's Little Dream, driven by Michael Rodrigues, and Bobby DeGraffe's new pony Gusto's Cracker Jack, while other challengers include V Six and Bermuda Warrior.

Former track record holder Nateway, coming off two wins the previous race day, will head the charge in the `A' division, but may find a stiff challenge from Shamrock Tuxedo who leapt into the bar by equaling the record of 1:08 in the junior-free-all last time out. Eddie The Great and Grand Marshall may also find themselves in the top bracket.

Conversely, co-record holder Abbie's Casanova may drop to the `B' division after a not so stellar showing and will have Catch a Fire and Pleasant Surprise as competition.

The absence of Casanova gives Hoe Down Don, Ponder Babe, Little Dinger and Sandacre Tashiba the chance to battle for honours in a wide open junior-free-for-all.

Finally in the 1:17-1:19/4 bar three participants, Penny's Rocky Road, Kathy Bea Abbe and Mowtown Scott, should see action.

Racing will also be held on Sunday at the same time.

MOTOCROSS SCR Riders will be vying for the season's first trophy up for grabs when the Allan Mello Memorial race takes place tomorrow at Coney Island.

Last year's 80cc winner Chris Maxwell will be riding in the 125C class while that division's 1992 winner, Devon Moss, has stepped up to the 125B class to battle with Aaron Pace.

Meanwhile, Duprey Joell returns as a firm favourite to repeat in the 250B category.

BOWLING BOW Tools and Equipment heads into the first position round of the Miller High Life Bowling League tomorrow carrying a huge 40 point cushion in leading second place Marlboro.

The latter will be seeking to derail the charge being mounted by Equipment, but that will not be easy, as their have been few successes against the league juggernaut thus far.

For further evidence one need only ask last week's sacrificial lambs, Gosling's, whom were administered a merciless 231 -61 beating as Equipment rolled the night's top game and series, 1,018 and 2,889 respectively.

During the contest Equipment's Dean Lightbourne fell a mere five pins short of the elusive 700 series, while Antoine Jones chipped in with a 602 series.

Meanwhile, Marlboro similarly warmed up for tomorrow's challenge with an emphatic 27-3 mauling of a shorthanded Spoilers outfit.

Mike McCallum got onto the leader-board on the basis of his 265 game -- high for the night -- and 659 series, all of which helped Marlboro to a second high team series of 2,814.

For Spoilers Dudley Browne shone bright with a 576 series, however this was not nearly enough to combat his opponents.

Other contests saw Stevedoring remain in the hunt with an 18-12 triumph over Signature Card, Thompson's down terminators 20-10 and New Mix Ups outgun Team Spirit 24-6.

In the Baker Format Challenge, which is open to any five bowlers -- league or open -- Just Us Girls turned back Marlboro 409-402.

Wahoo moved into a tie for first place alongside Barracuda in the Fishbowl League following a 4-0 whitewash of Rockfish, combined with Barracuda's dropping of a point in their 3-1 victory over Hinds.

Spiriting Wahoo on to victory was Sylvia O'Connor, who had a second high women's series of 513, while teammate Richard Davidge added a 200 game to the cause.

Meanwhile, John Maycock was the teeth in Barracuda's bite, his 549 series enabling them to easily devour Hinds who were led by Bertie Lines' second high overall series 556.

In a mid-table battle Tuna and Snappers fought to a 2-2 draw. Cathy Kemp had a 552 top series for the latter to offset Troy Darrell's 509.

Fifth placed Marlins kept within an earshot of the leaders as they defeated Angel Fish 3-1.

In other matches Porgies beat Pirahas 301, Sharks demolished Mackerel 4-0 and Cow Pollies defeated Dolphins 3-1.
