some entertaining and competitive harness racing at the Vesey Street track.

Seven ponies took advantage of the conditions to move up to higher time bars -- Final Explosion (Arthur Hurst), LA Winning Ticket (Bill Booth), Yemme Chane (Michael DeCosta), Rocket Ride (Bobby DeGraff), Gold Mate (Joe Correira), Tuxedo Prince (Aaron Sims) and GV Colonel Spence from the Inwood Stables.

Two other ponies have one leg out. Championne County (Michael Soares) has won three races in four starts and TW's Second Try has returned after a year's lay-off and won twice for Fernand Rego.

Other double winners on Saturday were Tuxedo Prince, Miss LL Dane with Colin Mello, Jennifer Time with Pascal Duckett and Michael DeCosta's Grand Shady.

The fastest time of the day was turned in by Eddie Roque's Tuxedo Bowtie who won the Free For All heat in 1:06.4.

Teenager Aaron Madeiros enjoyed two wins, one each with Crunch Time and Brittany Gold, while Kenny Mills went to the winners' circle on his first day back, driving Custom Eyes'd to victory in a Free For All heat in a quick 1:08.4.

Next race day is this Sunday at Vesey Street, post time 12.00 noon. Further information can be obtained by calling the harness racing hotline on 291-RACE.
