Karters go international

Delton White, Anthony Bean and Ronald Denbrook each reached the finals in their respective divisions during last weekend's racing at Rock Island in Illinois.

And now this weekend they have been invited to race in Michigan where they will receive their professional licences.

White, driving a Honda-powered kart, finished second in the 80cc shifter class, while Bean, driving a kart powered by a 125cc TM engine, placed 21st in the 125cc shifter class.

Denbrook was in the lead pack of the 100cc shifter class finals when he was involved in a collision which prevented him from finishing.

The Bermudians were competing for the second straight year at Rock Island and so impressed race promoters, SKUSA, that they were invited to Michigan this weekend and will be qualified to compete in the Pro Moto Tour series which moves around the USA.

As members of the tour, they will fly Bermuda's flag whenever they compete in a Pro Moto race.

The trio are sponsored by a number of Bermuda companies.
