than 100 compete in the annual Ironkids triathlon at Clearwater Beach, St.

David's on Saturday and dozens more in the national track and field championships at the National Sports Centre over both days.

The latter was this year a combined competition for juniors and seniors with events divided into various age groups. But generally the youngsters outnumbered and outshone their senior counterparts.
