Lisa adds to record haul

add to the three she set on Wednesday, as the Harbour Club Open swim championships continued at the BASA pool on Thursday evening.

Twenty five year-old Blackburn, who has failed to make the Canadian national team and expressed an interest in representing Bermuda, added the 50 metre freestyle mark to her collection when she clocked 27.68 seconds. That broke the old mark of 27.35 set by Jenny Smatt in 1989.

Earlier this week Blackburn set new marks in the 100 metre breaststroke (1:12.55), the 100m backstroke (1:09.49) and the 100m freestyle (59.56).

And she'll get chance to break more records when the Open finals take place at 9.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m. today.

Meanwhile on Thursday, Stephen Troake established himself as the fastest swimmer in Bermuda when he broke the five-year-old 50 metres freestyle record held by Olympian Ian Raynor. Troake finished in 23.58 seconds giving him both the age group and national record.
