Matthews' hat-trick
Eddie Roque was the highlight of the latest harness racing card.
Matthews won two races with Flame On and the other with Gusto's Crackerjack.
Both ponies have one leg out of their current time bar.
Bill Booth's LA Winning Ticket is on the move again after only one week in the 1:13/3-1:15/3 time bar.
Also moving up next raceday will be Bobby DeGraffe's new pony, Rocket Ride, after his double win at the weekend.
Samantha Hayward and Eddie the Great made their first start of the season, winning both heats in the B Division of the Junior Free For All.
Other double winners were Bowties' Pocketwatch (Eddie Roque), Final Explosion (Arthur Hurst), Championne County (Michael Soares) and Trott Acre Byrd (Robert Lopes).
There were several close and very exciting races, but number 16 was the best.
In that encounter GV Colonel Spence driven by DeCosta nosed out Jennifer Time and Pascal Duckett in a photo finish. Colin Mello's Miss LL Dane was a close third.
Meanwhile, Roque's Tuxedo Bowtie may have his sights set on a new track record this season. He won the Free For All in a blistering time of 1:06/1 -- the fastest of the season so far.
The next race day is scheduled under the lights at Vesey Street on December 2.
Post time is 6.30 p.m.
TENNIS JUNIORS MIX IT UP TEN Tennis juniors mix it up Mixed doubles will be included at a junior tennis tournament in Bermuda for the first time in around a decade at the weekend.
A bumper turnout featuring most of the Island's top young players is expected for the Reefs Junior Tournament at the Tennis Stadium, starting on Friday afternoon and concluding on Sunday afternoon.

Entries for the event in the 12-and-under, 14-and-under and Open categories were due to close today.
