Barcelona, Spain at the weekend are both doubtful for the Pan-Am Games.

The startling disclosures came yesterday when both triple jumper Brian Wellman, who won a gold medal, and sprinter Troy Douglas, who won silver, let it be known that their performances proved to be somewhat costly as it left them reeling with painfully sore muscles.

Wellman is said to be suffering from a sore hamstring and Douglas from ailing leg problems as a result of gruelling efforts when they each accomplished what amounted to their biggest feats on the international stage.

Bermuda Track and Field Association president Stanley Douglas expects that after given a little more time to evaluate their physical conditions the two athletes will have a better idea of their intentions, probably by today.
