New season kicks off

League champions PHC will take on FA Cup winners North Village at 8 p.m. after the women's Charity Cup clash between Rude Girls and PHC at 6 p.m.
The following weekend will see last season's top six Premier Division clubs involved in Martonmere Cup preliminary matches.
PHC, Dandy Town and Wolves will contest Group A, while North Village, Devonshire Colts and Somerset Trojans are pitched against each other in Group B, with the top two in each group going through to the semi-finals on Tuesday, October 10.
Three successive September Saturday evenings will feature double-headers at BAA Field, with the attractive-looking opening fixtures featuring Dandy Town against Wolves and North Village against Colts.
BFA competitions chairman Craig Tyrrell said the league season, featuring a downsized Premier Division of eight teams, would start in October and the schedule was due to be released next week.
