With track and field hit by the withdrawal of injured triple jumper Brian Wellman, the athletics squad has been reduced to just two. And that means only coach Gerry Swan will accompany them.

Bermuda Bicycle Association president Greg Hopkins oversees the four cyclists with mechanic/assistant coach Richard Mason helping out, while the five swimmers will be supported by national coach Gareth Davies and Richard Goodwin. Corporation of Hamilton secretary Roger Sherratt will supervise the squash pair of son Tommy and Nick Kyme.

Another travelling dad will be Eddie Murphy who leads a gymnastics quartet that includes daughter Laura. Coach Walid Mustafa and assistant Phyllis Krzos also go.

June Dill has been named manager/coach of a tenpin bowling team making its Games debut and the four-strong target shooting team will take Wilbur Lightbourne as manager/coach.

Also heading to Kuala Lumpur will be medic Anthony Raynor, BOA president Austin Woods, BOA secretary John Hoskins and Sports Minister John Barritt.
