Patchett first local to finish
Boston marathon with an impressive time of two hours, 48 minutes and 29 seconds, which was within seconds of his best performance at the annual race.
A total of 12 local runners participated with pharmacist Nigel Clewett finishing behind Patchett in a time of 2:56.30.
Positions for the local runners were not available last night.
Third finisher was Roy Simone in 3:03.00 while Cal Steede came in next in 3:19.44 and Ed Gomez in 3:40.00.
The next three Bermuda runners all achieved personal bests, with Dana Hall clocking 3:49.30, Mike Douglas 3:52.52 and Louise Brown 3:57.00 which beat her previous best time by some 13 minutes.
Allan Morrison ran the 26.2 mile course in 4:03 and Andrew Fletcher in 4:15.
Former resident Lynn Kynoch, now studying in the UK, dropped out after 17 miles because of a hip injury.
Veteran Ray Ming's time was unavailable.
