Saints bedevil Saltus
reached its conclusion, with four champions being crowned on Saturday at Mount Saint Agnes.
Results went strictly to form as each tournament champion doubled as this year's league champion.
The trend started with the Junior Girls late on Saturday morning and concluded with the Senior Boys that evening.
Berkeley Institute were the big winners, notching two titles in the Junior Boys and Senior Girls categories, while MSA and Whitney Institute grabbed the Junior Girls and Senior Boys titles respectively.
Using a solid second half performance, MSA came from behind against Saltus to emerge 27-17 winners in the Junior Girls final.
Saltus had taken the lead after one quarter and were ahead by five points at the break, but were shot down by the dead-eye accuracy of MSA captain Christine DeCosta, who had nine points and Laura DeFrias, who had seven.
Leigh-Ann Shaw scored nine points in a losing cause for Saltus, who failed to exact revenge on the Saints, who grabbed the league title a week before on a one-point victory, also against Saltus.
On the boys side Berkeley continued their unbeaten 1995 campaign with a 40-28 whipping of MSA.
Up by five at the half, Berkeley exploded in the fourth quarter, spurred by 12 points each from John Barry Nusum and Alale Furbert.
The final nails came when Berkeley hit on two three-point attempts late in the final quarter to put paid to determined efforts by the Saints.
Joey Rego and Jonathan Boyce tallied eight and seven points respectively for the Saints.
Berkeley also wrapped up the Senior Girls title, overturning an earlier defeat at the hands of Saltus to win 31-18.
After Saltus had led by one point at the interval, Berkeley blew the game wide open in the final quarter, outscoring the Saltus girls 17-4.
Leading the way for Berkeley were team co-captains Tanika Williams (eight), Erika Russell (eight) and Melina Roach (seven).
In the final match of the day Whitney led from start to finish against Saltus and gained sweet revenge on the only side to defeat them all season.
The Bulls ran out 41-34 victors as Winston Johnson proved unstoppable, pouring in 16 points, while Dion Bean assisted with nine.
