to Brazil next month to take part in four weeks of intensive Brazilian-style training.

Devaun DeGraff is a forward with North Village, Joey Rego a defender with Wolves and Damon Ming a defender with Dandy Town. All are 16-years-old and will participate in the BRUSA Course along with 30 other youngsters from the United States.

BRUSA was founded in the US to teach the simple, exciting and winning Brazilian style of soccer to players, coaches, teams and clubs at the youth, collegiate and professional levels. Head coach is Thadeu Goncalves who once coached the Brazilian under-19 team.

DeGraff attended the first phase of the clinic in Florida last December and was then invited to be a part of the advanced training in Brazil. DeGraff's father, Curtis, also recommended Rego, Ming and two others for the course in Brazil but only Rego and Ming are able to travel.

Curtis DeGraff took a preliminary coaching course in Florida while accompanying his son and will travel to Brazil with the boys and take part in another coaching course.

DeGraff, Rego and Ming leave Bermuda on July 15 and will be in Brazil until August 11. While in South America, the trio will train full-time every day with Brazilian coaches and players and in addition will play friendly games and compete in tournaments in three cities, Sao Paulo, Salvador and Rio de Janeiro.

"I think it is a great opportunity. The Brazilian game is very methodical, they know why they do it and why they don't do it,'' said Curtis Degraff.

"It's not just running up and down the field.''
