inaugural Americas Regional Tournament in Toronto early next month.
Reports last night suggested that the Western Stars captain had made his decision because he was unhappy playing under current skipper Charlie Marshall.
Bermuda Cricket Board of Control president El James said: "I can only confirm that Albert is no longer with the squad for our forthcoming tour of Canada and Charlie will remain our captain until we feel there is a need for a change.'' The president was unable to say whether Stars' prolific scorer would also be unavailable for the Red Stripe Bowl in the Caribbean later in the year.
