Squash Championships without dropping a game.

Stout took on Shawn Simpson of Barbados on the third day of the tournament at the Devonshire Squash Racquets Club on Middle Road and swept to a 9-2, 9-5, 9-2 victory.

There was no such luck for fellow Bermudian Jessica Mitchell in the under-17 girls section. She went down in a well contested match with Melissa Lue-Yen of Jamaica 3-0 (9-4, 9-5, 9-0).

The under-19 boys event saw James Bullock of Jamaica vanquish Gavin Cumberbatch of Barbados 3-0 (9-2, 9-2, 9-2).

Under-19 girl Nicolette Fernandez underscored her position as the Caribbean's top junior female with a comfortable 3-0 (9-1, 9-0, 9-0) win over Tracy Roett of Barbados.

There was some local success in the category with Melissa Harney clinching an unexpected victory to seal second place.

Harney was backed by an enthusiastic crowd when she took on Barbadian Roett.

The 9-1, 9-7, 9-7 win was even sweeter for Harney bearing in mind the fact she lost to Roett at last year's championships.

In an all Guyanese under-15 boys final Damien DeSilva saw off Ryan Farnum 3-0 (9-0, 10-9, 9-5). DeSilva was last year's under-14 champion.

In the girls section, Andrea King, also from Guyana, beat off the threat of Nadia McCarthy from Barbados 3-0 (9-0, 9-2, 9-6).

The under-13 boys final saw Bryant Cumberbatch of Barbados defeat Chris Binnie of Jamaica 3-0 (9-3, 9-1, 10-8) and in the girls final Kristina King proved too strong for Chantelle Fernandez in another all Guyanese final. King won 9-0, 9-2, 9-6.

Play continues today with the team event.

Bermuda play Barbados and Jamaica play the Bahamas in the boys section at 10 a.m. and at 2 p.m. Bermuda take on Jamaica and Guyana face Barbados.
