Using the co-ed format, four teams came out of pool play in the A division to reach the semi-finals. Mark Monihan and Denise Sommerville went on to defeat the improving team of Cameron and Wendy Salvia 11-4, 9-11, 11-7.

In the other half of the draw, Mark Bell and Wendy Cummings used their experience to get by the dynamic duo of Mario Valcourt and Debby Sousa 11-6, 11-5.

A close final saw the Cummings defeat Monihan and Sommerville 11-4, 5-11, 11-5.

In the B division, a number of new faces entered with Franco Caparra and Michelle Held defeating Kelly and Cherry Hartnett 11-6, 11-9. In the other bracket, the relatively new pair of Andy Yondal and Jennifer Clark defeated Robert and Nancy Coelho 11-2, 11-5.

The score in the final was indicative of how close the match was as Yondal and Clark edged Caparra and Held 11-7, 11-7.

Participants in all tournaments throughout this year are reminded that they will accumulate individual points which will help formulate the individual rankings.

The more tournaments a player enters, the better his or her chance of picking up points. Rankings will be kept in both A and B divisions.
