Victory went to Ben Wicks who had three firsts, two thirds and a fourth for a total of nine points (one result could be discarded).
The fleet saw a few new additions with Renae Black and Bronwyn Baralt, graduates of the advanced Optimist programme, joining in the competition as well as Jean-Philipe Snelling, who is no stranger to dinghy racing.
Also on hand was Christian Luthi who, even at 175-lbs and with no more than a three to five knot breeze, put the pack under pressure before eventually placing third for the day.
This evening Canadian coach Marc Peers kicks off a pair of back-to-back racing clinics which will run through Monday, November 13. The autumn series resumes on Sunday, November 19.
