Development Championships in Antigua in contrasting fashion yesterday.

Jovan Whitter finished on a high with a victory in his final round-robin consolation match while Danielle Downey was beaten in her last match in the consolation event.

All eyes now focus on the third member of the party, Zarah DeSilva, who today meets Arianna Marshall of Barbados in the singles final of the 14-and-under girls.

Whitter's win yesterday came in the 14-and-under boys as he defeated Nathan Voogt of Netherland Antilles 6-3, 6-0 to finish seventh overall in the week-long tournament.

Downey was surprisingly well beaten, 6-0, 6-2, by Sonia Ramcharran who she had defeated during a tournament in Barbados last March.
