teams set up and a series of games running over the next few weeks.

Mike Lindo, British American's coordinator of the game locally said: "I am excited by the level of interest shown in the games and the strong support demonstrated by families.

"This truly is a game that all members of the family can participate in, male and female, young and not so young -- and enjoy together.'' Today will see the continuation of the summer schedule at Warwick Academy and Purvis Primary, with matches starting at 6.00 p.m. The tournament will continue weekly at least until September, breaking only for Cup Match week.

Windball cricket is similar to regular cricket, with the main difference being the use of the much softer tennis ball rather than the hard cricket ball. The game has become popular in the Caribbean under the sponsorship of British American, with there being a number of island to island competitions. Last month the company hosted a Millennium Windball Cricket Festival at Disney World in Florida, which all staff were invited to attend.
