Visitor Clint cleans up

on Sunday with the third-to-last event being a Trophy Day involving visiting riders Clint Shealy and Billy Schlag.

Shealy, who won in the previous meet with two firsts, went one better last Sunday when he scored a hat-trick in the 125B class. Local rider Otis Ingham had to settle for second place with two seconds and a third.

Schlag finished third behind Ingham with a third, fifth and second place after losing the muffler on his bike. Jamel Pitcher was fourth.

Jimmy-Lee Weaver raced to a hat-trick of wins in the 125C class while Craig Panchaud was second with two seconds and a third. Panchaud failed to capitalise on Weaver's fall in the first moto, then was slowed when he lost his muffler twice. Graham Sutherland finished third.

Aaron Cannonier took the 80cc class, winning two of three motos but losing the third. The west end Honda riders, Loronzo Burch and Jerome Dowling, ran second and third for two motos but collided in the third which dropped them out of the top three. Mark Burrows, with three fourths, had his best finish of the year.

Melonie Munro took her total of 80 Modified wins to 28 after another hat-trick, while Garry Cann won the 60cc class, followed in each moto by Tullio Escolastica, Zahkie McIntosh and Jonte Smith.

Zahkie Iris beat out Luke Parker and Chad Sutherland in the 50cc. Sutherland suffered a broken frame and did not ride in the second and third motos.

The final two races days in the Pepsi Nationals are this Sunday and April 2.
