Triathlon called off
A new date has yet to be set for the Bank of Bermuda Team Triathlon after the event was postponed yesterday morning due to the bad weather.
Although conditions improved throughout the day, organisers decided to call the event off after taking into account the weather forecast which predicted strong winds and heavy rain.
The individual triathlon is scheduled for this coming Sunday in Hamilton, starting and finishing at Albouy's Point.
Meanwhile, the first Bermuda Track and Field Association cross-country races for the season, which were scheduled to take place from Chaplin Bay on Saturday morning, also fell victim to the weather as did Saturday night's Martonmere Cup football double-header at BAA Field.
The games between Devonshire Cougars and PHC, and Dandy Town and North Village, will be played tomorrow night.
