CedarBridge to honour top athletes

CedarBridge Academy are recognising their top athletes at the school’s Ruth Seaton James Auditorium on Friday at 1pm.

The top male and female athletes in sports such as football, basketball, netball, track and field, volleyball, badminton, table tennis and rugby will be honoured at the annual event.

Sports teacher Dean Minors, a former Bermuda cricket team wicketkeeper, said: “This CBA Ceremony is the highlight of the year for most of our student-athletes and Sports Department.

“We have the chance to show our appreciation to the student-athletes for representing our school with pride, while also recognising their outstanding performances throughout the school year.

“Our desire and passion is to educate our student-athletes about the importance of sportsmanship, discipline, character on and off the field, and a sound background knowledge of the rules and regulations of the game.”
