Three ‘major’ hurricanes could form in 2011 forecasters
An international weather agency is predicting three major hurricanes could form in the Atlantic this year.
According to AccuWeather reports, the 2011 season is expected to follow last year in being an “above average storm period”.
They claim there are 15 weather systems growing into named storms and eight of them are expected to reach hurricane strength. Their information was gathered from Pennsylvania-based forecaster, the State College.
It seems the Gulf Coast, New England and the Canadian Maritimes are areas of concern, according to AccuWeather.
