Tannock inducted into Hartford’s Barney hall of fame
Insurance stalwart Patrick Tannock has been inducted into the Barney Alumni Hall of Fame at the University of Hartford.The Barney School of Business alumni, who is president and country manager of XL Insurance, was sworn in at the ceremony held at the 1877 Club followed by a reception at the Rotunda at the Harry Jack Gray Center.Mr Tannock, who graduated in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University’s Barney School of Business, was joined by Gonzalo Pique, president and CEO of Energy Resource Inc., who attained his MBA in 1974.He said: “I am honoured and humbled to have been inducted into the University of Hartford’s Barney School of Business which is not only my alma mater but considered to be one of the world’s top business schools,” he said.“Having the privilege to address an audience of mentors, friends, and peers was a rewarding and unforgettable experience. I am grateful to all who have guided and supported me throughout my educational and professional career. Without them the induction would not have been possible.”Mr Tannock has more than 25 years of experience in the Bermuda market and the international re/insurance industry, including some 10 years with Marsh & McLennan and 16 years with Ace Bermuda.
