Wesley to hold fund-raising dinner and concert

By Nancy Acton A fund-raising dinner and concert with something for everyone will take place at Wesley Methodist Church in Hamilton on March 24.

Entitled ‘An Evening with Wesley’, it will feature individuals, groups and choirs, among them Brittney Ferreira (violin), the Warwick Academy Jazz Band, eminent organist Charles Callahan, Jennie and Gary Skelton, Wesley’s Renaissance Ringers, the Wesley Church Choir, the Bermuda School of Music String Group, the Marsden Praise Team, and others.

The programme, which will include classical, jazz, and religious music, will begin at 8pm.

For those wishing to make it a truly special night out, a sit-down dinner will be served in Wesley’s Dyer Hall at 6.30pm.

Tickets ($15 for the concert, $30 for dinner and the concert) are available from Juice ‘n’ Beans Café, 6l Front Street; Otto Wurz Company at 3, Front Street; and also by e-mailing concert[AT]wesley.bm or telephoning 505-1256.

Proceeds will be donated to the Women’s Resource Centre and the Wesley Organ Fund.
