Taking the reins: Graham Potter, right, has been named as the new Chelsea manager after the shock sacking of Thomas Tuchel

Graham Potter has been named as the new Chelsea manager after the shock sacking of Thomas Tuchel.

Former Brighton manager Potter has penned a five-year contract at Stamford Bridge following more than three years in charge of the Seagulls.

Tuchel was relieved of his duties at Chelsea about a month into his second full season, despite the West London side backing him with a near $300 million spending spree in the summer transfer window.

Elsewhere, Liverpool continue their struggles in front of goal in the Merseyside derby stalemate with Everton on Saturday.

On the Fantasy front, Man City striker Erling Haaland is the hottest property at the moment, scoring ten goals in his first six games to match the Premier League all-time goals record at that stage, equalling the tally of former Coventry City forward Mickey Quinn in 1992-93.

Congratulations to August winner Malachi Jones for amassing 377 points from the opening month of the season with his team “Guide and Protect”.

Fulham v Chelsea

Fulham are making a solid start to their return to the top tier of English football, taking eight points from their first six games.

This week, Harry Wilson and Manor Solomon remain out with knee injuries, while defender Antonee Robinson is doubtful with an ankle injury.

Chelsea got back to winning ways with the home London derby result over West Ham. N’Golo Kanté is out with a hamstring injury for the short visit to Craven Cottage.

The Blues have won 19 of the prior 30 meetings with the Whites.

Prediction: 1-2

Bournemouth v Brighton & Hove Albion

Bournemouth came from two goals down to edge Nottingham Forest last weekend, their second victory of the season. Junior Stanislas, Ben Pearson and Joe Rothwell remain out injured, while David Brooks is doubtful owing to a lack of fitness for the visit of the Seagulls.

Brighton are still unbeaten at home after the 5-2 hammering of Leicester City. Adam Lallana and Jakub Moder are out with calf and knee injuries respectively, and Jeremy Sarmiento is doubtful because of lack of fitness.

The Cherries have the advantage in this rivalry, winning four of their six encounters.

Prediction: 1-1

Leicester City v Aston Villa

Leicester are the only winless team in the Premier League, recording their solitary point on opening day against Brentford. Ryan Bertrand and Ricardo Pereira remain sidelined. The only current injury concerns for manager Brendan Rodgers.

Aston Villa held on for an impressive 1-1 home draw with Manchester City. New signing Diego Carlos remains out after undertaking successful surgery for a ruptured Achilles tendon, while Matty Cash and new recruit Leander Dendoncker are doubtful.

Neither club has taken control of this Midlands derby, though the Foxes have won ten of the 22 encounters.

Prediction: 1-1

Liverpool v Wolverhampton Wanderers

Liverpool continued their inconsistent start with a goalless away draw with neighbours Everton.

Ibrahima Konaté, Calvin Ramsay, Jordan Henderson, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita are out injured, while Caoimhin Kelleher, Curtis Jones and Fabio Carvalho also remain doubtful.

Wolves edged Southampton 1-0 at home last weekend for their first league win of the season. Francisco Oliveira is out with a knee injury this week, while Raul Jiménez and new signing Sasa Kalajdžić are doubtful.

The Merseyside club have dominated this match-up, winning 13 of the 16 times these teams have met.

Prediction: 2-0

Southampton v Brentford

Southampton were punished for a lack of a clinical touch in their 1-0 away loss to Wolves last time out. Tino Livramento and new recruit Roméo Lavia are out this week with knee and muscle injuries respectively.

Ivan Toney scored a hat-trick to lead Brentford to a dominant 5-2 home win over Leeds United. Sergi Canós, Christian Nørgaard and Ethan Pinnock are out for the trip to the South Coast.

The sides met for the first time in the Premier League last season, with Southampton winning both encounters.

Prediction: 1-2

Manchester City v Tottenham Hotspur

Manchester City were held to a 1-1 away draw with Aston Villa last weekend, despite new recruit Erling Haaland scoring the tenth goal of his debut season.

This weekend, Aymeric Laporte is out because of a knee injury, while Kyle Walker and John Stones remain doubtful.

Tottenham remain unbeaten in their first full season under manager Antonio Conte. Lucas Moura is the only injury absentee for the long journey north to Manchester.

The North London side have won four of the last five encounters with City, and 27 of their 50 overall meetings.

Prediction: 2-2

Arsenal v Everton

After opening the league season with five straight wins, Arsenal suffered their first defeat away to Manchester United.

Mohamed Elneny, Thomas Partey and Reiss Nelson are out, while Emile Smith-Rowe is doubtful with a knock.

Everton showcased their team spirit in the 0-0 home draw with Merseyside rivals Liverpool. Yerry Mina, Mason Holgate, Ben Godfrey and Andros Townsend are out for this trip to London, while Abdoulaye Doucouré and Dominic Calvert-Lewin are doubts.

The Toffees historically struggle with this match-up, as the Gunners have won 35 of their 60 overall encounters.

Prediction: 2-1

West Ham United v Newcastle United

West Ham controversially had an equaliser from new signing Maxwel Cornet ruled out for offside, and ultimately fell 2-1 away to Chelsea last weekend.

Ben Johnson and new signing Nayef Aguerd are out with hamstring and knee injuries respectively, while Craig Dawson, Aaron Cresswell and new recruit Gianluca Scamacca are doubtful for this game.

Newcastle have made a steady start to this term, starting with four draws from their first six matches. Emil Krafth, Jonjo Shelvey and Callum Wilson are out this week, while Allan Saint-Maximin and Bruno Guimarães are doubtful with hamstring injuries.

The Magpies have edged this head-to-head historically, with 22 wins from their 48 meetings. However, the Hammers are unbeaten in their last five games with the Tyneside outfit.

Prediction: 1-1

Crystal Palace v Manchester United

Crystal Palace could not find the net in a 0-0 away stalemate with Newcastle in their last match.

James Tomkins, Nathan Ferguson and James McArthur are out owing to various injuries this week, while goalkeeper Jack Butland is doubtful with a hand injury.

Manchester United come off their fourth consecutive league win at the weekend. Facundo Pellistri and Anthony Martial are out, while Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Donny van de Beek are doubtful with minor injuries.

The Red Devils have won 18 of 26 encounters with the Eagles, but Palace took the spoils 1-0 on the final day of last season in this fixture.

Prediction: 0-2

Leeds United v Nottingham Forest

Leeds were taken apart for their lack of defensive discipline in the 5-2 away defeat to Brentford last time out.

Stuart Dallas and Rodrigo Moreno are out for this home game, while Rasmus Kristensen and Junior Firpo are doubtful.

Nottingham Forest gave up a two-goal lead in their home loss to Bournemouth. New signings Moussa Niakhaté, Omar Richards and Orel Mangala are out injured.

These teams have met on ten occasions in the English top flight, with Forest edging the Yorkshire side four wins to three.

Prediction: 1-1
