Premier League football hits the final round before the international break and Fantasy managers can make their mark with several top teams having favourable fixtures.

Players must also judge fitness or injury concerns among the mid-table clubs, especially after midweek Carabao Cup and Europa League matches. Here are a few names to consider for your Fantasy future, even under the premise that some will use their wildcard chip.

Defenders

Vitaliy Mykolenko (Everton, £4.5 million v Ipswich, Saturday)

Everton face two promoted sides in consecutive weeks either side of the international beak and many mangers will be tempted by the premium option of James Tarkowski as their defensive choice. However, Everton’s Ukrainian international is an aerial threat from set pieces and could pick up points from clean sheets in those games.

Murillo (Nottingham Forest, £5.5m v Coventry, Saturday)

The Midlands club might have challenging fixtures after the break but Brazilian Murillo should keep his value in the Fantasy market, especially given his defensive contributions. Forest may have kept just one clean sheet, but this match against a team yet to score provides a chance to spend bigger on Murillo.

Timothy Castagne (Fulham, £4.5m v Manchester United, Sunday)

Fulham have started poorly in defence but the West London side will play all the promoted sides in succession after the international break. They picked up a win against West Ham in the Carabao Cup and Castagne has two assists and two clean sheets (both away from home) in their first four Premier League games.

Midfielders

Daichi Kamada (Crystal Palace, £5m v Leeds United, Saturday)

Crystal Palace have not enjoyed a smooth transition to life under new coach Pierre Sage, but Kamada has three assists in their first four games. The box-to-box midfielder is in the top ten for defensive contributions at his price point and the Eagles have three upcoming fixtures in which the Japanese player can showcase creativity.

Morgan Gibbs-White (Nottingham Forest, £8m v Coventry, Saturday)

Nottingham Forest have enjoyed a solid start to the season and Gibbs-White has three goal involvements in their four games. Forest take on Coventry this weekend and Ipswich after the international break, so this midfielder will have every opportunity to deliver further points.

Bukayo Saka (Arsenal, £9.5m v Brighton, Saturday)

Arsenal are perfectly set for a repeat of their league title success and Saka needs to improve his contributions from last season. However, he already has three league goals and is the perfect finisher for those who are tripling on the Gunners going forward, despite the premium price.

Forwards

Dominic Calvert-Lewin (Leeds United, £6m v Crystal Palace, Saturday)

Leeds have made an unbeaten start and the finishing of Calvert-Lewin has been key. Matches against Sunderland and Bournemouth after the break as well as Manchester United are good for the striker to provide attacking returns.

Emersonn (Ipswich Town, £5.5m v Everton, Saturday)

Ipswich finally got the performance they were expecting from the man they spent £20m on as the Brazilian was involved in two goals during their win at Crystal Palace. He also scored at Sunderland on opening day and managers could look at the Fulham and Hull games coming up after the international window for further goals.

Kai Havertz (Arsenal, £7.5m v Brighton, Saturday)

Kai Havertz has yet to register a double-digit haul this campaign, but a favourable period should see the German get further service and add to his two goals, with the game against Brighton his first chance to pick up points. The Gunners will continue to stay defensively solid but the goals will need to come if they are to repeat, and the German will be the main man.

The Verdict

The international break sees managers looking at the coming fixtures and the wildcard in week six is a popular option. Newcastle are probably the best club to target if that chip is played immediately. The deadline for this coming round is 2.30pm today before kick-off between Brentford and Chelsea at 4pm.
