Bermuda Institute crushed Saltus Grammar School to maintain their unbeaten start to the Aerial Re High School League season.

BI ran in 11 tries in a 65-12 mauling of their opponents at the National Sports Centre on Wednesday.

Azzi Mayze led the way, scoring 22 points as he kicked five conversions and scored two tries in the rout.

There was also a hat-trick for Alex Dowling, Benjamin Furquan scored twice, while Makai Johnston, Kirk Hyde, Zane Bennett and Sheldon Cesar all crossed for individual scores.

Saltus slumped to their second consecutive defeat, with Tyquann Perinchief scoring their two tries and Nick DaCosta converting one.

It was a much closer affair in the first game, with only Anthony Sousa’s converted try separating CedarBridge Academy and Warwick. CedarBridge bounced back from their loss to Bermuda Institute in the first week and their 7-0 win gives them some momentum going into their game against Berkeley next week.

Yesterday’s Digicel Middle School League fixtures were postponed because of this week’s industrial action.
