Dylan Eiselt and Will Green triumph in mixed team relay triathlon
Dylan Eiselt and Will Green teamed up to capture the men’s title, while Ashley Couper and Marie-lyne Dore won the women’s division at the Aon Mixed Team Relay National Championship at Clearwater Beach on Sunday.
Eiselt and Greene, racing as Tri-ed and Tested, completed the 300-metre swim, 8km cycle and 2km run in a combined time of 58min 59sec, finishing ahead of Jens Drea and Spencer Haldeman, competing as Tri and Stop Us, who clocked 59:21.
Ronan Davidge and Sanchez Smith, calling themselves Bianchi Bosses, placed third in 1:00:51.
Initially, Eiselt was meant to compete with Lucas Bule, but the latter picked up an injury, resulting in Green, who competed at the Precision Fuel & Hydration Ironman 70.3 World Championship in Nice, France, being enlisted as Eiselt’s team-mate.
It was the second year in a row for Eiselt at the top of the podium after combining forces with Jackson Langley for the overall title in 2025.
Couper and Dore powered Synergy Girls to the women’s title in 1:01:05. Dore still had something to offer after an impressive display at Ironman Wisconsin in Madison.
The two seasoned triathletes finished two minutes ahead of the second-place team, The Two Scoops, starring Colette Durkin and Evelyn Fahy, who had a time of 1:03:09.
Elena Bortoli and Iris Duda, of Two Tri-ed, were not far behind, finishing third in 1:03:49.
Despite being held on the final day of the Davis Cup Group II tie between Bermuda and Mexico, the event got a good response, with 52 teams signing up.
