Schools to do battle in BSSF final

The next generation of promising local footballers will be showcasing their skills in the Bermuda School Sports Federation (BSSF) Knockout Cup finals tomorrow.

In association with the Bermuda Football Association Player Development Committee, the finals will feature boys and girls from Middle and Secondary Schools and will be held at the National Sports Centre (NSC), starting at 12.30 p.m.

All BFA assessment games involving Under-8, Under-10 and Under-12 teams will not be played this weekend along with the Under-14 and Under-16 Appleby Youth League matches.

Also at the NSC tomorrow, the Bermuda Track and Field Association (BTFA) will host a 40 metre sprint showcasing three of the Islands track legends at 7.15 p.m.

Devon Bean, Troy Douglas and Brian Wellman will face off to see to see who the fastest man is as part of the BTFA's preparations for the 2012 Carifta Games, which will be staged on the Island.
