PHC held by Eagles

PHC 2PHC were held to a draw by Somerset Eagles at Somerset Cricket Club last night.

Somerset Eagles 2

Coming off of a 7-1 thrashing at the hands of Village at the weekend, Zebras were hoping to take advantage of their game in hand to pull level with the leaders.

But it was Eagles who took the lead through Darin Dowling from close range.

Zebras responded soon after their early set-back when Lloyd Holder's grass cutter beat Eagles goalkeeper Karl Brown.

Midfield schemer Troy Tucker then cleared off the line for Eagles after Antwan Russell's back heel beat Brown.

It was second half substitute Marcelos Thomas who scored what was seemingly the winning goal for Eagles late on.

But slack defending allowed PHC's Stephen Astwood to fire home and snatch a point for Kyle Lightbourne's side.

Ireland Rangers 0

Somerset Trojans 6

Tahj Wade, Trevin Ming, Antinori Butterfield and Chikosi Basden also struckgoals in Trojans' emphatic victory.
