Hood's Terceira confident of victory over rivals Wolves

Robin Hood midfielder Teddy Terceira is cautiously optimistic his side can win their FA Cup replay with Wolves tonight at BAA Field and book their spot in the next round against St. David’s later this month.Hood, who needed a late Drewonde Bascome penalty to earn the replay after Nathan Webb put Wolves ahead, will be buoyed by the result after being demolished in their league fixture against the same opponents earlier in the season. With the sides due to play again on Sunday in the First Division, the winner will undoubtedly have a psychological advantage.“We’re wary of Wolves and the threat they possess seeing that we were comprehensively beaten in the league early in the season and then fought for the draw in the first game of the cup tie. So we know that they have more then a few danger men and need to get on the same page to get the result,” said Terceira.“We are still confident that if we stick to the game plan that we will be okay and we just need to focus on the task at hand.“The first game won’t have any bearing on us given we are more confident at home, so that will be a plus for us but at the same time in cup football anything goes.“We have seen in English football, and in Prospect beating Boulevard that anything can happen, so we are excited to play Wolves again and be apart of something special.“At the same time we want to stick to the task and hopefully get the job done.”Hood entered the season harbouring dreams of grabbing one of the two promotion spots that would see them go into their first Premier Division season at the second time of asking. They were knocked out of the Shield competition but still have a potential FA Cup run to look forward to as well as a promotion fight. For Terceira, however, a loss at the first hurdle in the cup would be a disappointment, regardless of what the overall objectives are of the season.“We’re knocked out of the Shield and our main objective was to get promoted and at the moment it’s a possibility this can happen, although it’s still too early to know and we are trying to press on with that.“Also, we talked about making a good cup run and to fail at the first hurdle, in my mind, would be a failure.“It won’t sum up our season if we lost but it would hurt the team a bit because we want to test ourselves against the very best. The best cup run I believe was to the semi-finals and hopefully we can repeat this again.“We want the win and look at St. David’s, which the winner of our game will get.”n Carlisle United striker Nahki Wells played in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Glasgow Rangers at the Scottish club’s Murray Park training ground. The 19-year-old was substituted after 65 minutes in his side’s 2-0 defeat which was watched by Carlisle’s assistant coach Graham Kavanagh.Wells enjoyed two trial spells with the Cumbrians in the last two months and put pen to paper on a five-month contract on New Year’s Day.
