Poor PHC lose to Cougars
Devonshire Cougars 3 PHC 0PHC blew a chance to go top of the Premier Division table last night after suffering a disappointing defeat against an impressive Devonshire Cougars.A victory would have seen Zebras leapfrog top dogs North Village who travel to Southampton Rangers tomorrow.Considering what was at stake, PHC delivered a surprisingly poor performance with Cougars dominating proceedings from start to finish.The Big Cats took the lead in the 4th minute through Moses Steede who saw his free kick take a wicked deflection off the unfortunate Omar Shakir.They then doubled their advantage on 16 minutes when former Bermuda Hogges striker Jamie Smith slotted home following a fumble by PHC goalkeeper Raymond Glasford.On 79 minutes player-coach Kwame Steede completed the scoring when he latched onto a through ball before rounding Glasford and tapping into the empty net.
