Vasco 4Lobster Pot 1Vasco continued their winning ways as they saw off the challenge of Lobster Pot.The match was closer than the score would suggest, with the league leaders needing two late goals to make the points safe.Goals in the first half from Rui Furtado and Rich Holden put Vasco up two before leading goalscorer Henry Santucci converted from the penalty spot for Pot.Vasco dominated the second half but failed to capitalise on their dominance, while Pot always looked threatening on the break with their pace.Substitute Rui Sebastioa, who had just come off the bench, was taken down in the area with 15 minutes remaining and Furtado stepped up and scored the penalty.Sebastioa rounded out the scoring with a great strike from about 20 yards out.Team Fire 4MR Onions 3Team Fire had four goalscorers as they beat MR Onions in a very evenly contested match.Dwight Basden, Irving Burgess Corey Dill and Sean Dill all got on the scoresheet for the winners who were up 4-1 at one point.Onions replied through Jimmy Caplice, Clem Murdoch and Lee Osborne, while also being reduced to 10 men after Richard Phinn was sent for a second yellow.North Village 3St. David’s 1North Village got three goals from three different players as they beat a spirited St. David’s side.Nakia Smith, Tafarri Outerbridge, and Tillman Darrell all grabbed a goal apiece, while Rudell Pitcher got the Islanders’ lone tally.Tuff Dogs 7Valley FC 1Tuff Dogs got a hat-trick from Lamaul Crofton as they made light work of Valley FC.Trevor Corday added two more, while Leroy Stevens and Yusef Pitt both scored one each.Jabrel Tucker scored the lone goal for Valley FC.BAA 2West End United 0BAA got the best of West End United in an excellent game played under torrential rain and high winds.The early exchanges saw both teams come close but the deadlock was broken on 17 minutes when a BAA breakaway saw the impressive Damien Mendoza cross to the far post for Martin Jones to convert low into the far corner.Into the second half and with chances at a premium it was BAA who scored the decisive second goal on sixty minutes when an exchange of passes ended with a flick from Mendoza releasing the BAA skipper Peter Coleman who drew the keeper before coolly slotting home.Robin Hood 2Lock ‘N’ Key 2(Match abandoned)Robin Hood and Lock ‘N’ Key saw their abandoned shortly after half-time due to a waterlogged pitch.
