Manders’ City win again
Taurean Manders’ Capital City FC beat Brampton FC 2-1 on Friday night to notch their third win in a row and their first home victory in franchise historyBermuda international, Manders, has been an ever-present this season and was part of the City defence which earned praise from their striker Junior Ellis.“Everyone knew their job and supported each other,” said Ellis.“We were great on defence and finished on our chances.”City opened the scoring after they were awarded a penalty 15 minutes into the game, with midfielder Kenny Caceros making no mistake.United generated a quick response, however, pulling level through Richard West in the 17th minute. City regained their lead through Sullivan Silva who hit the winner for City just before half-time.City will try to make it four wins in a row when they host the Windsor Stars this Sunday at 1 pm at the Terry Fox Athletic Centre.
