Indisciplined Hogges made to pay for mental lapses

Westchester Flames 3Bermuda Hogges 0Bermuda Hogges coach Maurice Lowe was disappointed with his team as they conceded three second half goals against Westchester Flames at City Park Stadium last night. The defeat leaves Hogges still looking for their first Premier Development League victory of the season after four matches.Lowe said his side made an encouraging start to the game their first away from home this season with the first half finishing goalless, but lost their shape after the Flames took the lead in the 50th minute. The home side added two further goals as the Hogges went chasing the game, said Lowe, who was annoyed with his team’s indiscipline after going behind.“We made a great start and were in the game for the first 50 minutes, but then we lost our shape and conceded a goal,” he said.“As we chased the game we ended up conceding two more goals.“It was a disappointing game in that regards. It was definitely a match we could have done better in.”Lowe said he didn’t feel the Flames were three-goals better than the Hogges and was adamant the Hogges should have given a better account of themselves.“It was a match we could have got a positive result out of,” said Lowe, “we need to be competitive and keep our shape for longer periods.”Lowe believes his players must put last night’s disappointing defeat behind them and focus on making amends in the next game against Brooklyn Knights tomorrow night.“We need to recover well physically and mentally and try and get a positive result from our next game.”
