Devonshire Cougars and North Village Rams will be firm favourites to lock horns on New Year’s Day in the Friendship Trophy final when they avoided each other in the semi-final draw yesterday.Cougars will meet Somerset Trojans on Boxing Day at Southampton Oval and Village will take on St David’s on December 27 at Wellington Oval.Both matches are set for 2pm kick-offs.Chairman of BFA Competitions committee Shannon Burgess conducted the Friendship draw and that of the Shield competition.Hamilton Parish were drawn against Young Men’s Social Club in the first semi-final on Boxing Day at Southampton Oval while the winners will take on either X’Roads or Flanagan’s Onions, who will play on December 27.Both Shield matches will kick off at 12 pm. Their final will precede the Friendship final.
