Stovell braced for a close encounter against Hood

Somerset Trojans renew their rivalry with Robin Hood tonight when the two sides settle their FA Cup replay at BAA Field. The pair have had indifferent weekends, with Hood coming from behind to grab a point from defending league champions North Village at home, while Trojans had the weekend off with Boulevard not turning up for their game in Somerset. With little else at stake for the sides, with both being safe, the FA Cup provides the best chance of some silverware.Trojans striker Dion Stovell reckons the layoff for his club won’t be an issue, and that the rivalry between the clubs is fast becoming an interesting one.“We will be okay for the match, although we didn’t play over the weekend it gave us some time to prepare for this and we are ready,” said Stovell.“Robin Hood and Trojans are two teams that don’t like to lose against each other, so I think on the day it’s really whoever has the best defence will win.”The first match at Somerset Cricket Club ended in a 1-1, and Stovell predicts the replay will be another close affair.“I think the teams are evenly balanced with Trojans having a little bit of the edge,” he said. “”It’s do or die so we should be good, our coaching staff doing the job so it’s just up to the players now.“It’s not going to be easy.”The winners of the tie will play Devonshire Colts next weekend in the FA Cup quarterfinals.
