Trojans will get the better of St George’s

Devonshire Cougars v PHCWhile still in the title hunt, Zebras have given themselves little hope of reeling in Dandy Town with their recent displays, and won’t receive any sympathy from Cougars at the ‘Den’ tonight.Five points adrift and four games remaining, PHC will need to win every game left while hoping the leaders slip up.In Cougars, however, they will be facing a side preparing for an FA Cup replay against Village and will want to put in a wholehearted performance in their final game before Tuesday’s showdown.Prediction: 2-2St George’s v Somerset TrojansA game with little implications to both sides, although neither team will be budging an inch in this East v West clash at Wellington Oval.Somerset Trojans’ young side have surprised many this season and I believe they may just have the edge over Richard Todd’s St George’s in this one.Prediction: Trojans 3-1North Village v St David’sA decent warm up for North Village as they cast an eye to their FA Cup replay against Devonshire Cougars next week. All but been mathematically eliminated from the title race, Village can fully focus on the last available trophy this season. This could prove to benefit the St David’s who will need to get something out of this match at Bernard Park to keep their survival hopes alive.Prediction: Village 4-0Boulevard v Robin HoodWith Boulevard all but relegated to the First Division, there’s very little at stake for either team at BAA Field.Given both sides play at the same venue, home field bragging rights could be at stake, although Hood will have one eye on their FA Cup replay against Devonshire Colts on Tuesday.Prediction: Hood 2-1Southampton Rangers v Dandy TownLeague leaders Dandy Town can have one hand on the league title if results fall their way this weekend.Five points clear of PHC, and only a handful of games left in the campaign, a few more wins and Town will be the officially champions.Southampton Rangers will be out to keep the champagne on ice and boost their chances of avoiding the dreaded drop. The teams have shared some high scoring games in recent seasons, and plenty of goals will be on the cards at the Southampton Oval.Prediction: Town 4-1
