Dandy Town emphasised just why they have been this season's standout team after running riot over North Village to lift the FA Cup at the National Sports Centre yesterday.A brace from skipper Raymond Beach and goals from Lyn Tucker, Seion Darrell and Damon Ming were more than enough to complete the double for Premier Division champions Town.Keishen and Ralph Bean struck for the hapless Rams.In a game that had much at stake, it was the men from St John's Field who came out on top ,demolishing their city rivals,Tucker believed Hornets simply “outclassed” Village in the season's curtain call.“The last time we played them we lost, but it wasn't about redemption for us, we had a game plan and came out and executed it,” said Tucker. “It's always about a team in any sport and we again showed that today.“Today was all about team work, I feel we outclassed them in every aspect of the game. We were deserving of this result.“It feels great to win both major honours, I love my team-mates, we have been through a long season and can finally relax and look back at what we have achieved.”It was Tucker who put his side in front in the 15th minute after reacting the quickest following a shot by striker Angelo Simmons, which was palmed away by Village goalkeeper Jason Williams. The lead was doubled four minutes later when the superb Simmons threaded a through ball into the path of the onrushing Darrell who clipped his effort over a stranded Williams. It was a lead that was richly deserved and Simmons could have added a third but his next shot cannoned off the post after his first effort was saved by Williams.Skipper Beach then got in on the scoring act in the 30th minute after Simmons tortured the Rams defence one more time, beating his marker and rounding Williams before squaring the ball to Beach who had the simple task of side-footing home.Village made a double substitution in the 38th minute, bringing on Jemeiko Jennings and Jason Lee in an effort to find a way back into the match, but the damage was already done.Beach was on the scoresheet again in the 63rd minute, this time sliding home a delicious cross from Fabian Frankson to leave Village looking shell-shocked.Village did get off the mark in the 72nd when Keishen Bean's free kick was struck hard and low, beating Treadwell Gibbons in the Hornets goal. For good measure, and to quash any thoughts of an unlikely Village comeback, Ming latched onto a through ball that dissected the Rams back line again, planting his effort into the back of the net.Ralph Bean did manage a consolation goal for Village but the party was already on for Town who won their third title of the campaign.“There is no disputing that we are the best team in Bermuda and now that it's over we can enjoy this moment and celebrate with our fans,” added Tucker. For more pictures clickhere
