Russell bangs treble for Key

Toronto FC trialist Antwan Russell bagged a hat-trick in Lock N Key’s 4-1 win over West End in the Corona League at Goose Gosling Field at the weekend.The Bermuda striker has been playing in the Corona League to maintain his fitness after his move from Dandy Town to Robin Hood missed the transfer deadline.Russell, 26, spent a week on trial at Major League Soccer side Toronto earlier this month and could make his Hood debut when they travel to St George’s in the Premier Division on November 18.Former PHC skipper Chris Furbert was also on target in Lock N Key’s victory while ex-Hood player Steve Simons scored for West End.In the Corona League’s other games, Flanagan’s Onions defeated BAA Wanderers 5-2 on Friday night thanks to a hat-trick from Darren Thompson.Nathan Peskett and Andreas Storm also scored for Onions while Wayne Clapham and Alex Hunter found the net for BAA.Also on Friday, North Village Rams came from behind to beat Lobster Pot 3-2 with goals from Jamal Smith, Mark Trott and Matthew Medeiros. Jeff Bevan and Miguel Cabral scored for Pot.Defending champions Tuff Dogs remained the only undefeated side after their 7-0 drubbing over Valley on Saturday. Kevin Hurdle grabbed a hat-trick while Shawn Simons, Jeff Franklin, Lamaul Crofton and Julian Caisey also on target.Robin Hood thrashed Vasco 4-0 courtesy of a David Outerbridge hat-trick and a strike from the club’s Premier Division coach Kyle Lightbourne.
