Dandy Stars extend unbeaten run
Dandy Stars Gold extended their unbeaten streak during weekend Women’s Futsal League action at Dellwood Middle School.Stars hammered bottom side Hamilton Parish 10-0 to replace idle PHC Zebras who had a bye at the top of the seven-team standings.Precious Cooper and Atiyah Symonds led the goal feast with four goals each while Cleshaunay Darrell Virgil and Alexis Trott also got their names on the scoresheet.Stars led 3-0 at the half before they opened the floodgates against a Parish side that has yet to earn a point or score a goal this season.Somerset Trojans remained in third following their convincing 7-1 win against Young Men’s Social Club who have also yet to earn a single point this term.League leading goal scorer Eva Frazzoni continued her superb form after bagging a hat-trick for the Trojans while Deshae Darrell added a brace and Sierra Fisher and Kayla Corday netted one apiece.KyAnee Scott replied for sixth-placed Young Men’s Social Club.Trojans led 5-0 at the half.Returning to action following a bye the previous weekend was reigning league champions North Village Rams who outscored Dandy Stars Brown 9-5 in an entertaining match.Kyla Ramatar led the Rams scoring with six goals while Leanne Yates, Leilanni Nesbeth and Tamisha Darrell netted one apiece.Leah Smith scored a hat-trick in a losing cause for Dandy Stars Brown while teammate Zahra Gibbons added a brace.The win saw Rams climb from fifth to fourth after leapfrogging Dandy Stars Brown.Women’s Futsal League action continues on Saturday at Dellwood Middle School, beginning at 5pm.
