Cup screening to raise charity funds

Local football fans can watch Sunday’s League Cup Final at Wembley Stadium between Nahki Wells’ Bradford City and Swansea while also contributing to a worthy cause.Under the distinguished patronage of the Minister of Community and Cultural Affairs, Veterans In Action will be screening the cup final in the cafeteria at CedarBridge Academy with doors to open at 10am for the 12 noon kickoff.Admission is free.Codfish breakfast with all the trimmings and refreshments will be on sale for a $10 fee with all proceeds to go towards Dandy Town’s football program on Wells’ behalf.There will also be free giveaways and gift vouchers for those in attendance during the half-time interval while a fun castle will be provided for kids.Members of the public have been advised that the northern parking lot at CedarBridge has been reserved for those wishing to attend Sunday’s event produced by Startime and sponsored by Bermuda Broadcasting Company, WOW, Digicel, Western Union, Bermuda's Best, Sea Venture, Somers Supermart and Pepsi.
