St George’s pull out of festive tournament
St George’s have withdrawn from the PDL Festive Tournament, to be replaced by Paget, forcing the Bermuda Football Association to move last night’s scheduled match between Paget and Southampton Rangers to Monday.
The group D match between Young Men’s Social Club and Hamilton Parish on Monday night will now kick off at 9pm at Devonshire Rec while Paget and Rangers will play at 6.45pm.
Next Wednesday’s group C match between BAA and St David’s at Goose Gosling Field will start at 7pm instead of 6.45pm.
The tournament will share the Christmas spotlight with the Friendship Trophy and Shield competitions, with finals scheduled for New Year’s Day at the National Sports Centre.
Quarter-final matches are scheduled for Sunday, with double-headers at Southampton Oval, St John’s Field, Goose Gosling Field and Somerset Cricket Club. Semi- finals scheduled for December 26 and 27 at Wellington Oval and Goose Gosling Field.
