BFA coaches to review youth game

Some of the key figures involved in the development of local football will be on hand to share their expertise during the Bermuda Football Association’s fourth annual End of Season Symposium at CedarBridge Academy tomorrow.

The symposium will feature a panel discussion entitled “Should Under 12 Football be Competitive”.

Among the panel are Richard Todd, the National Academy director, as well as guest coaches from domestic clubs.

The discussion will be moderated by Mark Wade, the BFA player development committee chairman, who views the annual symposium as beneficial to the sport.

“The BFA symposium forms a vital part of coaching education as well as allows coaches to come together, discuss football and to play a role in shaping the new season that will start in September 2014,” Wade said.

A review of the 2013-14 Appleby Youth Leagues and a presentation from Bermuda’s first and only Fifa-licensed player agent, Andre Pacheo, will also take place at the symposium.

The event starts at 9am and will continue into the afternoon. Keynote speaker at last year’s symposium was Jacques Crevoisier, the Fifa instructor, who spoke on the topic “Global Trends”.
