Ruthless PHC destroy hapless Social Club
PHC thrashed Young Men’s Social Club 25-1 during the Futsol Women’s League at the weekend.
PHC took a commanding lead in the first half, scoring 15 unanswered goals. Social Club had no answer to a focused PHC team who scored ten more in the second half.
Social Club did, however, prevent the shutout with Kelechi Jones scoring the only goal for them.
Micah Pond was the outstanding player for PHC with seven goals while Jaissa Smith, the Social Club goalkeeper, was her team’s best player despite the scoreline.
In game two, Dandy Stars further cemented their lead at the top of the table by overcoming a determined Somerset team 12-4.
Stars led 8-3 at the interval and in the second half added four more goals to win the game comfortably.
Shauntae Todd, the Bermuda forward, was the MVP for Stars after reaffirming her scoring prowess with five goals.
