A decade after Shaun Goater’s stint at Reading, the supporters at the Sky Bet Championship club want another Bermudian to solve their goal-scoring problems in the form of Nahki Wells.

The fans at Reading participated in a recent survey in which they were asked which striker should Reading look to sign this summer. Sixteen per cent opted for Wells even though the survey did not give a choice of names. Wells is Huddersfield Town’s leading goal scorer with 16 goals this season.

Reading’s strike force has been identified as the area which most needs strengthening and Wells is regarded as the best prospect.

Huddersfield are at home to Sheffield Wednesday tomorrow, needing possibly another four points to be safe from relegation. They are tied on 45 points with Reading, eight points above the relegation zone.
