Lewis on target for Red Bulls II
Zeiko Lewis found the net in New York Red Bulls II’ 3-0 victory at home to St John’s Red Storm last weekend.
Lewis, the Bermuda winger, scored his side’s second goal, with Vincent Bezecourt opening the scoring and Arun Basuljevic hitting the third against the NCAA Division 1 team.
The Red Bulls II’s final preseason game is at home to Bethlehem Steel tomorrow.
Lewis, who was selected by the New York Red Bulls in the MLS SuperDraft in January, has been loaned out to New York Red Bulls’ reserve team for the season.
The 21-year-old spent preseason with Red Bulls until they peeled away for the Concacaf Champions League, where they lost 3-1 on aggregate to Vancouver Whitecaps in the quarter-finals.
He has since been involved with the New York Red Bulls II, who play in the Eastern Conference of the United Soccer Leagues, and came on as a second-half substitute in their 1-1 draw at home to Harrisburg City Islanders in a preseason friendly last week.
