Wells linked with move to QPR
Nahki Wells is set to sign for Sky Bet Championship strugglers Queens Park Rangers, according to reports in the British media.
Wells looks to be surplus to requirements at Premier League side Burnley after they bolstered their striking ranks by signing Matej Vydra from Derby County for £11 million.
The Bermuda striker, who held talks with Derby over a loan move as part of that deal, is expected to leave Turf Moor this summer with QPR his most likely destination.
QPR have started the season with four straight losses including a 7-1 defeat away to West Bromwich Albion last weekend.
Wells, 28, has made only ten substitute appearances in all competitions since joining Burnley for £5 million from Huddersfield Town a year ago.
He spent most of last season as Burnley’s fourth-choice striker behind Ashley Barnes, Chris Wood and Sam Vokes and has dropped farther down the pecking order after the arrival of Vydra.
