Wells subbed late in defeat
Nahki Wells was substituted late on in Bristol City's 1-0 defeat away to Swansea City in the Sky Bet Championship yesterday.
Wells, who has netted 20 goals this season, 15 during a loan spell at Championship side Queens Park Rangers, was replaced by Marley Watkins in the 87th minute.
Swansea kept their play-off ambitions alive as Connor Roberts's close-range strike at the end of the first half handed the home side the victory.
Wells almost put City ahead when he met a Jay DeSilva's cross at the far post but could only glance his header wide.
City play Preston North End at home on Wednesday on the final day of the Championship season.
Meanwhile, Djair Parfitt-Williams could not prevent Fylkir losing 3-0 at home to KR in the Icelandic top flight yesterday.
Pablo Oshan, Tobias Thomsen and Oskar Hauksson scored for KR.
