Nahki Wells and Jonté Smith play in goalless draws

Strikers Nahki Wells and Jonté Smith were substituted in the second half as their teams, Bristol City and Woking, played to goalless draws on Saturday.

Wells was replaced in the 72nd minute as City ended a run of three straight losses with a home draw against Nottingham Forest.

Smith came on for Woking as a sixth-minute substitute after an injury to striker Sam Ashford in their Vanarama National League match away to Eastleigh.

However, Smith was substituted himself in the 57th minute, after Woking were forced into a change in the wake of the dismissal of midfielder Tommy Block for a second booking in the 53rd minute. Woking brought on defensive cover, with Smith sacrificed for left back Leo Hamblin as the visitors hung on for a valuable point.

Smith is still looking for his first goal since joining the club in January, making five starts and eight appearances as a substitute.

The draw leaves Woking in nineteenth place, just two places and five points above the relegation zone. Woking have picked up only three wins in the their 18 matches this year, but will hope to capitalise on three straight home matches starting with a clash against Bromley tomorrow. After that they play Wrexham, eighth, and third-placed Torquay at home.
